Errol Spence Jr. vs. Yordenis Ugas

April 16th Welterweight Unification: Errol Spence Jr. vs. Yordenis Ugas

There will be three belts on the line at 147 lbs on April 16th.

The card takes place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and will see a unification of three of the four welterweight belts as Errol Spence Jr. meets Yordenis Ugas.

Spence Jr. currently holds the WBC and IBF welterweight titles. With an undefeated record of 27-0-0, 21 KOs, he has defeated the likes of Carlos Ocampo Manriquez, Mikey Garcia, and Shawn Porter.

Following a horrific car crash, Errol Spence Jr. was out of the ring for nearly two years. When he came back in 2020, he defeated Danny Garcia via unanimous decision.

Two years later, he will return to the ring in an attempt to unify his belts with WBA (super) champion Ugas.

Ugas (27-4-0, 12 KOs) is on a four-fight win streak in which he has defeated Omar Figueroa Jr, Mike Dallas Jr, and Abel Ramos. In 2021, Ugas took on world-renowned boxer Manny Pacquiao and won the bout via unanimous decision.

The two will be looking not only to unify belts but also to set up another unification bout with WBO champion Terence Crawford.

The Premier Boxing Champions event will also feature:

Issac Cruz vs. Yuriokis Gamboa – 135 lbs

Jose Valenzuela vs. Francisco Vargas – 135 lbs

Cody Crowley vs. Josesito Lopez – 147 lbs

Eimantas Stanionis vs Radzhab Butaev – 147 lbs
