Boxing champ Errol Spence Jr. seriously injured in Ferrari crash

Undefeated boxing champion Errol Spence Jr. (26-0) was reportedly seriously injured in a car crash in Dallas on Thursday. The crash happened just after 3 a.m. on Riverfront Boulevard near I-30 near downtown and involved one vehicle.

Dallas police said a “high-profile man” was the victim of a car crash in the city’s downtown. Photos on social media showed the man’s white Ferrari completely destroyed stemming from the crash.

According to police, the vehicle was going at a high rate of speed in the northbound lanes in the 500 block of S. Riverfront Boulevard. The vehicle went over the center median and flipped multiple times, ejecting Spence. Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt.

He was transported to the hospital and is in serious condition but is expected to survive.

Errol Spence Jr. recently won the WBC welterweight title in a split-decision victory over Shawn Porter late last month. He holds bot the WBC and IBF welterweight titles.
