Brad Tavares vs. Dricus Du Plessis Booked for UFC 276
A three-round middleweight bout between Brad Tavares and Dricus “Stillknocks” Du Plessis has been announced for UFC 276.
Tavares (19-6-0) will walk into the bout having defeated the likes of Lorenz Larkin, Krzysztof Jotko, and Antonio Carlos Junior. His last walk to the octagon came in the summer of 2021, where he defeated Omari Akhmedov via split decision at UFC 264: Poirier vs. McGregor 3.
Currently riding a two-fight win streak, the 34-year-old will be matched with 28-year-old finisher Du Plessis.
Du Plessis (16-2-0), the former KSW champion, holds all of his victories coming by way of KO/TKO or submission. Having never gone the distance, Du Plessis will be looking to secure his fifth straight win as he meets Tavares in July.
Also having made the walk at UFC 264: Poirier vs. McGregor 3, Du Plessis defeated Trevin Giles in just under seven minutes.
