Cage Wars 46: Anthony “Showtime” Panek Interview: I thought it was hilarious nobody would fight Bob, but I’m here”

Anthony, “Showtime” Panek (4-1) joins the Carroll’s Corner MMA Podcast sponsored by My MMA News to discuss his upcoming fight at Cage Wars 46 on April 10, 2020, at the Rivers Casino and Resort in Schenectady, New York. Panek will be fighting Team Jucao’s Super Heavyweight fighter, Bob Buskey (2-1) on the main card.

Panek, standing at 6’4″ tall with a reach of 80″ will have a significant reach advantage against Buskey. That being said, previous to taking this fight, Panek expressed he was cutting down to middleweight to find better competition and now will be the significantly lighter fighter. He has to weigh at least 265-pounds in order to compete at the super heavyweight division, which is the weight division the bout will occur at.

“you can pull a pair of arms off a t-rex and give them to me, I’ll beat Bob Buskey,” Panek said, not holding back any verbal punches. Throughout the interview, Panek displayed a level of confidence unprecedented on the amateur level. He continued to explain the difference between himself and his opponent.

Buskey has been know to blast his opponents with a verbal blitzkrieg via social media and in-person. The “Jits Panda” is coming off two victories. His last bout verse Travis Streeter ended a war of words as he forced Streeter to tap due to strikes. The “Jits Panda” is unlike a panda in one way. He’s not shy, verbally or inside the cage.

Anthony Panek speaks about his cardio and the two three-round fights he has participated in, in addition to the trash talk he threw Bob Buskey’s way. Listen to the entire interview with Panek as he speaks about his Cage Wars fight and how he was introduced to mixed martial arts.
