Chad Anheliger vs. Heili Alateng set for UFC 279

UFC 279 has another fight booked, as bantamweights Chad Anheliger and Heili Alateng are set to meet at the event.

Anheliger (12-5-0) has gone undefeated in his last 10 bouts and was the former Rise FC bantamweight champion prior to making his first UFC walk.

His first promotional walk came on the 2021 season of the Dana White Contender Series, where he defeated Muin Gafurov via split decision. His performance on the DWCS granted him a UFC contract in which his first official bout came at UFC Fight Night: Walker vs. Hill. He met Jesse Strader at the event and ended the bout with a third-round knockout.

“The Mongolian Knight” Alateng (15-8-2), holds a UFC record of 3-1-1 since joining the promotion in 2019. His first two UFC victories came over Batgerel Danaa and Ryan Benoit, while last April he collected his third promotional victory over Kevin Croom with a 47-second KO.

Set to take place on September 10th, UFC 279 will feature the following bouts:

Aljamain Sterling (C) vs. T.J. Dillashaw – 135 lbs (bantamweight championship bout)

Shamil Abdurakhimov vs. Jailton Almeida – 265 lbs

Norma Dumont vs. Danyelle Wolf – 145 lbs

Irene Aldana vs. Macy Chiasson – 135 lbs

Jamie Pickett vs. Denis Tiuliulin – 185 lbs

Chad Anheliger vs. Heili Alateng – 135 lbs
