Charles Rosa stays active in decision win against Kevin Aguilar

The UFC remains in Las Vegas, Nevada for the third-straight week tonight, Saturday, June 13.

UFC on ESPN 10 takes place inside the UFC Apex and is headlined by a women’s flyweight bout between Jessica Eye and Cynthia Calvillo. The co-main event features a middleweight clash between Karl Roberson and Marvin Vettori.

Continuing main card action is a lightweight bout between Charles Rosa and Kevin Aguilar.

Rosa is quite familiar with fighting during quarantine. He suffered a unanimous decision loss to Bryce Mitchell at UFC 249, May 9. It marked the promotion’s first event back during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Before suffering his fourth octagon defeat, Rosa submitted Manny Bermudez by first-round arm-bar at UFC on ESPN 6 in October 2019. Rosa is moving up to lightweight to face Aguilar.

Aguilar is coming off of two-straight losses to Zubaira Tukhugov and Dan Ige inside the octagon. He rattled off back-to-back UFC wins against Enrique Barzola and Rick Glenn before the skid.

Aguilar throws a super punch. Rosa’s face shows some redness. Rosa eats a right hand. Aguilar counters a right lag kick as Rosa tries to close the distance. Rosa lands another outside leg kick. Both guys trading. Rosa lands a left hand as he goes in and out. Rosa lands a kick to the body. Aguilar lands another left hand. Both men switching stances, staying active. Aguilar works another jab and counters a kick. Aguilar goes for a kick misses. Aguilar catches a kick from Rosa. Rosa lands a left cross. Rosa works jab and Aguilar slips the punch. Rosa lands a kick to the body. Rosa faints and lands a kick to the body. Rosa lands a left hand. Aguilar throws leg kicks and Rosa counters. Aguilar lets his hands go and Rosa is bleeding from his forehead.
