Ciryl Gane has home burglarized as he fought in UFC Paris headliner

According to reports from French newspaper Le Parisian, Ciryl Gane, one of half of the heavyweight main event at UFC Paris on Saturday, had his home robbed as he fought.

Gane, who defeated Serghei Spivac in the second round at the Accor Arena in Paris, France, was away from his house in Nogent-sur-Marne, and thieves knew that.

Police were called to the fighter’s home on Sunday morning and reportedly discovered forced entry to the front door and missing items totaling over $150,000 Euros, or over $166,000 USD.

Jewelry and a Rolex watch were included in the list of items taken during the burglary. The report also cites an anonymous source that alleges a member of Gane’s entourage may have alerted the thieves of the former interim heavyweight champion’s schedule to help set everything up.
