Diamond World Fights doing it BIG at The Bob – Live results here

The first state of Delaware has always been a calm and serene state to visit, but tonight, all hell breaks loose at the University of Delaware’s premiere athletic facility, The Bob Carpenter Center as Diamond World Fights hosts Mega Mayhem 2018. Headlining the card features journeyman, Shannon “The Cannon” Ritch taking on Michael “Thunderhorse” Youngblood for the Diamond Fight League heavyweight title.

Other notables on the card are Tri-state MMA verteran, Steve McCabe comes out of retirement for one final scrap as he takes Georgia’s own, Jonathon Cobb. In the co-main event, Delaware native, Brandon Davis looks to make a statement in his pro debut in his own backyard taking on Matt Lyall in a 135lb contest.

Fights start at 8 p.m. EST.

After several exhibition bouts, the promotion went to an intermission, which wound up being the curtain call.

Intermission had the crowd clambering for the MMA portion of the card to begin. Much to their displeasure, the boos came pouring in when an announcement was made that the remainder of the card would be canceled and ticket refunds would be given within two business days. No further official word was given on the cancellation.

According to Bellator MMA flyweight champion Ilima Lei-MacFarlane who was in attendance to corner a teammate, police showed up to the event and the promoters fled the scene.  As of press time none of the pro fighters were paid.  An insane turn of events.

More on that crazy turn of events here.   As a result, the fight card did NOT do it BIG as the show was canceled.
