Joaquin Buckley set to face Nassourdine Imavov at UFC Paris

UFC Fight Night Paris will now feature a matchup between rising middleweight contenders, Joaquin Buckley and Nassourdine Imavov.

Knockout ace, Buckley (15-4-0), will open up the main card as he looks to advance his win streak to four straight victories. Buckley made his way to the UFC just two years ago and has since gone 5-2 with the promotion holding victories over the likes of Impa Kasanganay, Jordan Wright, and Abdul Razak Alhassan.

With 11 of his 15 victories coming by way of knockout, we last saw Buckley at UFC Fight Night Austin, where he scored another stoppage victory over Albert Duraev.

Standing in Buckley’s way, however, will be top 15 middleweight contender, Nassourdine (11-3-0). Much like Buckley, Nassourdine holds most of his victories by way of stoppage with 9 of his 11 victories coming by way of a stoppage. In his last two outings, he scored a second-round stoppage over Ian Heinisch and another over Edmen Shahbazyan.

With a collective 20 stoppages between the two young middleweights, this is one you will not want to miss.

UFC Fight Night Paris takes place on September 3rd at the Accor Arena in Paris, France. Headlining the event will be top heavyweights, Ciryl Gane and Tai Tuivasa, while slated for the co-main event is Robert Whittaker vs. Marvin Vettori.
