Espinosa is in search of his first win in two bouts. He dropped two-consecutive losses, most recently a first-round submission defeat to Alex Perez at UFC on ESPN+ 24 on Jan. 25.
He also tapped to a first-round triangle choke against Matt Schnell at UFC on ESPN 5 in August 2019. Espinosa earned one octagon victory, defeating Eric Shelton at UFC on ESPN+ 6 in March 2019.
Jordan Espinosa earned his UFC contract by finishing Rilley Dutro via TKO on Dana White’s Contender Series in July 2018.
The 30-year-old was slated to fight newcomer Zhalgas Zhumagulov in Kazakhstan on June 13. The location and bout fell through due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mark De La Rosa is on a three-fight skid and is winless since November 2018. He most recently suffered a second-round knockout loss to Raulian Paiva at UFC on ESPN+ 25 on Feb. 15.
His two other defeats included in the losing streak came against Kai Kara-France and Perez. His last victory is a split decision win against Joby Sanchez at UFC Fight Night 139.
The June 13 card is still without an official location.
