LFA 79’s Michael Stack has a plan: ‘Stay undefeated until the UFC calls’

Unbeaten featherweight prospect Michael Stack discusses his upcoming fight with Brian Mitchell this Friday night at LFA 79. The event takes place at 1STBANK Center in Bloomfield, Colo. and will air on UFC Fight Pass.

LFA 79 will be headlined by a flyweight title fight between Brandon Royval and Jared Scoggins.

Stack talks about the fight being delayed for over a month after LFA’s deal with AXS TV came to an end, how he reacted to the postponement for the fight and when he was given the word it would go on, learning from his first weight cut to 145 pounds for his last fight and what he has done differently this time around, not overlooking his opponent for Friday night but feeling confident he will have a great performance in front of his fans and family, how his girlfriend has been beneficial for his fighting career, what his holiday meals will look like, how he sees the fight playing out and much more.

The 25-year-old Stack has big goals and aspirations for his MMA career. While he is certainly not looking past the task at hand this Friday night, Stack’s first priority is to keep that zero on his record in tact.

“The goal is just to stay undefeated. Stay undefeated until the UFC sees you,” Stack told MyMMANews.com. “It’s a difficult task but I think I can achieve that. That’s all I’ve really thought about; stay undefeated until the UFC picks me up and then, after that, stay undefeated until I get to the belt. At this point, the goal is don’t lose. I think if you can keep that mindset and keep that momentum going, everything else will work itself out. Of course, you’ve got to be putting on exciting fights. Who wants to watch someone who is undefeated that’s boring as hell to watch?”
