“It helps me sleep,” DeJesus says. “Because I can hear everything,” she continues, “I’m hearing people’s dogs bark at night. I’m hearing helicopters, I’m hearing planes and stuff, so sleep is really hard. And as an athlete, you need sleep,” she emphasizes.
Also pointing out, “we’re in the hurt business. So, (because of her usage) I don’t hurt as much. And it’s better than popping pain pills I mean your liver can only handle so much Tylenol at a time,” DeJesus adamantly contends.
DeJesus isn’t the only one in her lineage that has seen the benefits of the plant, however. Sharing a story of her own mother opting to utilize edibles opposed to pharmaceuticals during a recovery period. It came as little surprise to DeJesus that the relief her mother was receiving via cannabis edibles were significantly greater than the relief of her doctor ordered prescription.
