Nine Fighters walk away with $50,000 bonuses at UFC London
The UFC will typically always award bonuses at the end of a night of fights, but UFC London was not your typical fight card. Usually, the bonuses include ‘performance of the night’ and ‘fight of the night.’ These are normally awarded to three to four individuals.
Obviously, the $50,000 pay bump is well deserved for all fighters who make the walk to the octagon. However, the UFC uses it as an incitive for the athletes to perform at the best of their abilities. It is also no secret that the UFC will lean to those who score incredible finishes.
At UFC London – a card that was stacked with fantastic talent and spectacular finishes – the UFC and Dana White decided to hand out a whopping nine bonuses.
See Dana White speak on the bonuses and night of fights below:
In the post-fight scrum, White states that he “gave bonuses to everybody that had a finish tonight, total of nine bonuses. Congratulations to everybody.”
