Thor Bjornsson Defeats Eddie Hall in “Heaviest Boxing Match in History”

In a six-round amateur boxing bout, two of the world’s strongest men battled it out on Saturday night in Abu Dhabi at the Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Center.

After years of feuding with one another, Thor Bjornsson and Eddie Hall met in what was labeled as the “heaviest boxing match in history.” At the end of it all, Bjornsson came out on top with a decision victory over Hall.

As the fight progressed, the two ‘titan weights’ were able to score knockdowns.

Bjornsson scored a total of three knockdowns during the fight, including one in the final round of the bout.

Hall was also able to score a knockdown in the second round of the bout.

At the end of the bout, Bjornsson had won via unanimous decision (57-54, 57-54, 57-54).

When asked if the beef had been squashed, Bjornsson stated:

“Understandably he seemed a bit angry still.”

He continued, “he lost the fight so that’s understandable.”

Bjornsson then noted that he is open to a rematch, stating “if he wants a rematch, I’ll take a rematch no problem.”

By the sounds of it, Thor Bjornsson was excited to see what the future holds for his boxing career. Whether it is a rematch with Hall or perhaps with fellow massive men The Iranian Hulk vs. Martyn Ford taking place in April, Bjornsson will be looking to enter the ring against the winner of that bout.

We will keep you updated here at MyMMANews on what’s next for Bjornsson and Hall.
