South African Fighters To Fight At UAE Warriors 32: Africa

The upcoming UAE Warriors weekend continues to get stacked and, for the Africa event, the promotion did not shy away from getting talent from South Africa.

The card is headlined by a championship bout between Kevin Oumar and Emilio Quissua but is stacked all the way from the first bout to the last. One of the most represented nations on the card is South Africa, which is home to Africa’s biggest MMA promotion – the EFC. The UAE Warriors 32: Africa card will feature four South African fighters who have all competed for the African promotion and all but one of the fighters will be making their promotional debuts on that night.

For EFC Flyweight Champion, Luthando Biko, this marks only his second ever excursion from the EFC and he will go up against Somalia’s Muhidin Abubakar, who is a fellow promotional debutant.

Stephen Goncalves, who’s last fight at EFC was in 2018 before making BRAVE CF his home, will stand across a UAE Warriors familiar, Jaures Dea Gomez from Cameroon.

Thabani Mndebela, who won the EFC heavyweight championship in 2021, looks to rectify his promotional debut loss at the expense of Prince Aounallah.

Martin van Staden is one of the most respected names in African MMA and, following years of being a constant on the South African scene, ‘The Punisher’ is set to fight in the UAE against Aymard Guih, who has experience to match van Staden.

UAE Warriors 32: Africa takes place on Friday, September 16th.
