EFC Welterweight Champion, Ziko Makengele, To Fight At OKTAGON 35

The weekend of September 16th is going to be an action-packed one in the world of combat sports and OKTAGON will be making a contribution to those festivities.

OKTAGON 35 takes place on September 17th, and at the top of that card, Patrik Kincl will be defending his middleweight championship against Alex Lohore. Featured on the main card will be the DRC’s Ziko Makengele, who is currently in his first reign as the EFC Welterweight Champion.

Makengele made his debut in 2021 and, following three dominant finishes leaving his record untarnished, he got the opportunity to fight for the 170lbs gold of the African continent at the beginning of 2022. Although ‘The Gorilla’ went into that fight a considerable underdog but managed to get a finish once more and get the gold wrapped around his waist. Now, with a 4-0 record and adorned with gold, Makengele makes his first trip outside of the African continent.

Makengele’s opponent will be Marek Mazuch and this fight will take place at middleweight and, with the main event also being in the same division, the clash will certainly draw an incredible amount of attention.

OKTAGON 35 takes place on Saturday, September 17th.
