UFC 246 results: Brian Kelleher spoils Ode Osbourne’s debut with submission win

On Saturday night, Jan. 18, 2020, the UFC kicks off their calendar year with UFC 246. The event takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and will be headlined by the return of Conor McGregor taking on Donald Cerrone in a welterweight bout.

An exciting bantamweight bout takes place on the main card as Brian Kelleher welcomes Ode Osbourne to the Octagon. Kelleher is looking to snap a two-fight losing streak in his 30th professional fight. “Boom” won three out of his first four UFC bouts before suffering a third-round knockout loss to John Lineker at UFC 224, and a first-round submission defeat at the hands of Montel Jackson at UFC 232 — which coincidentally is Osbourne’s teammate. Prior to the fight, Kelleher told MyMMANews.com that this is the last fight on his current contract.

Osbourne earned a UFC contract with an impressive submission win over Armando Villarreal last summer on Dana White’s Contender Series. “The Jamaican Sensation” has won his last four fights — all first round finishes — as he prepares to make his UFC debut on a huge card.

Here is how the bantamweight bout between Brian Kelleher and Ode Osbourne went down at UFC 246, including round-by-round scoring. For full results of the card, check them out right here.
