UFC headed back to London for second event of 2022

The UFC is headed back to jolly old England later this year.

The UFC announced that they will be holding another event in London this summer. After a very successful UFC London event this past March, the O2 Arena in London will get a second event in a year. The fact that another event is being held in the same location in the UK just a few months later bodes very well for the UK MMA scene. The event on March 19 saw several of the UK’s MMA stars’ stocks rise and some get huge wins.

Among the big winners on March 19 were Paddy Pimblett, Molly McCann, and Tom Aspinall. Aspinall was the headliner as he starched Alexander Volkov in the very first round. Aspinall’s amazing performance in front of his home crowd began some serious title talks. he proved that he could stand face to face with the bets in the UFC heavyweight division and walk out a winner. he would be the likely headliner again, but there is also another potential UK-based fighter who has been making waves.

Paddy Pimblett might be the fastest rising star in the UFC today. With now two wins in the UFC, Pimblett is a fan favorite and is proving that he is a force to be reckoned with in the lightweight division. During the last event at the O2 Arena, a huge majority of the focus by media and fans was geared to Pimblett. At the time UFC president, Dana White agreed that Pimblett was a star in the making and could headline a Fight Night event soon. This could be his opportunity.

Although the details on bout order and fights have not yet been announced, however, there are some probable candidates. In addition to Aspinall and Pimbeltt, McCann could be making her second appearance in London this summer. Also, Arnold Allen was another big winner in London the first time around.

Tickets for this event will go on general sale on May 27, with Fight Club and O2 priority members having the first opportunity to purchase on May 25.
