ESPN Africa Boxing 23 To Take Place In Durban

Since the return of the ESPN Africa Boxing series this year, Johannesburg has served as the home of the monthly boxing events. November’s event will, however, see the promotion make their debut on the South African east coast.

With just ten days to go until the 23rd instalment, the full card for the event has been revealed. IBF International Super Welterweight Champion, Emmany ‘The General’ Kalombo, will put his title on the line against India’s Shiva Singh, who will be making his debut for ESPN Africa Boxing. Serving as the co-main event, a non-title fight between Xolisani ‘Nomeva’ Ndongeni and Apinun ‘Downua Ruawaiking’ Khongsong in the super lightweight division.

The main card will feature four other fights from the middleweight, featherweight and female lightweight divisions. In paying homage to the state of KwaZulu-Natal, where Durban is located, the vacant KZN Junior Featherweight Championship will be contested for by Sanele Maduna and Mduduzi Mzimela over ten rounds.
