Kristina Williams On Bellator Release “I Was Ready To Try Something New, I Didn’t Push To (Stay)”

Interview with Kristina Williams above – Check it out

Kristina Williams (3-3) discusses her flyweight fight against Helen Lucero (1-1) at XFC YoungGuns 1 on March 27. Kristina also talks about breaking her shin last June during training and undergoing surgery, switching up training camps for this fight, and getting released from Bellator last year. The 31-year-old hopes a few more wins outside of the California-based promotion could lead to a UFC contract.

“I wasn’t surprised, I didn’t fight to stay either. I wanted to explore outside of Bellator and potentially getting up to the UFC. I was kind of ready to try something new.  I mean we left on very good terms. I did get released but I didn’t push to (stay).”
