Everything is bigger in Texas, so a fight between heavyweight sluggers Roy Nelson and Alistair Overseem Set For UFC 185 in Texas makes perfect sense. This card just keeps getting better, adding a lightweight title fight between champion Anthony Pettis and top contender Rafael Dos Anjos.
Nelson (20-10, #9 ranked heavyweight) looks to bounce back strong off a knockout loss to Mark Hunt back in September. Albeit losing three of his last four fights, “Big Country” is always dangerous with his punching power.
Overeem (38-14, #11 ranked heavyweight) redeemed himself in December by stopping Stefan Struve in the first round via strikes. Overeem and Nelson are heavy hitters and this fight might not make it past the first round.
