Israel Adesanya returns against Joe Pyfer in UFC Seattle headliner
Former middleweight champion Israel Adesanya (24-5) will return to the octagon against rising knockout artist Joe Pyfer (15-3) in the main event of UFC Seattle on March 28 at the Climate Pledge Arena.
“The Last Stylebender” Adesanya, 36, looks to stop a three-fight losing streak when he meets the 29-year-old “Bodybagz” in the center of the cage following the night’s co-main event bout between former flyweight champion Alexa Grasso and Maycee Barber.
Pyfer is currently riding a three-fight win-streak with victories over Abus Magomedov, Kelvin Gastelum, and Marc-André Barriault.
Adesanya looks to secure his first victory since April 2023 when he defeated then champion Alex Pereira to reclaim the title. He would then drop the belt to Sean Strickland in his first title defense, followed by losses to Dricus Du Plessis and Nassourdine Imavov.
