Alessio Di Chirico vs. Roman Kopylov added to UFC Paris

UFC’s first event in France will now feature a middleweight clash between Italy’s Alessio Di Chirico and Russia’s Roman Kopylov.

Super Lutas announced the bout via Twitter:

Di Chirico (13-6-0) made his way to the UFC back in 2016 and has gone 4-6 with the promotion. Despite losing to some of the best in the division, he has collected victories over the likes of Julian Marquez and Joaquin Buckley. His most recent outing came at UFC Fight Night: Barboza vs. Chikadze where he suffered a first-round knockout to Abdul Razak Alhassan.

Now looking to get back in the win column, Di Chirico will face off with former Fight Nights Global middleweight champion, Kopylov.

Since joining the UFC roster in 2018, Kopylov has gone 0-2, suffering defeats at the hands of Karl Roberson and Albert Duraev. With 7 of his 8 wins coming by knockout, Kopylov will be looking to make a big statement and get his first victory with the promotion.

UFC’s first event in France will take place on September 3rd at the Accor Arena in Paris. Rumored to headline the event is a heavyweight clash between #1 ranked Ciryl Gane and #3 ranked Tai Tuivasa.
