Undefeated Prospects Dakota Ditcheva and Paula Silva Collide at UAE Warriors 28 on March 26

Breaking: Undefeated Prospects Dakota Ditcheva and Paula Silva Collide at UAE Warriors 28 on March 26

A flyweight clash between undefeated prospects Dakota Ditcheva (4-0) and Paula “Bittencourt” Silva (5-0) is set to take place at UAE Warriors 28 on Saturday, March 26. Sources with knowledge of the matchup confirmed the news with MyMMANews.com.

The matchup pits decorated Muay Thai strikers turned MMA fighters against each other in a mouthwatering contest, which on paper looks set to be a barnburner of a fight.

Ditcheva trains out of Manchester Top Team and boasts an unblemished MMA career. Following in the footsteps of her mother Lisa Howarth, Dakota earned multiple British and World titles during her accomplished Muay Thai career before transitioning to MMA in 2019. The 23-year-old from Sale hasn’t lost since stepping foot inside the cage, completing a 4-0 amateur career with wins over strong competition in Shauna Bannon and Kerry Isom. Ditcheva has gone from strength to strength since transitioning to the professional ranks, finishing her last four opponents, three of those in the first round. Most recently, Ditcheva stopped Simone Da Silva (8-3) at the first event of the all-Women’s promotion Pallas Athena Women’s Fighting Championship in Canada.

Silva brings her own undefeated record to the table, and like Ditcheva, a wealth of striking experience. “Bittencourt” won multiple Muay Thai title across Brazil and South America before switching to MMA, where she made her debut in 2018. Yet to taste defeat in the cage, the 26-year-old Brazilian has won 4 of her 5 pro fights via KO. In July, “Bittencourt” won a three-round decision over common opponent of Ditcheva’s, Simone Da Silva (8-2), to claim the vacant Iron Man CF bantamweight title, her first pro belt.

For both Ditcheva and Silva, his flyweight matchup will likely be their toughest test of their young careers to date.

UAE Warriors takes place on March 26th and is headlined by a middleweight title fight between Will Fleury and Tarek Suleiman.
