Conor McGregor hit by car while riding bike, avoids serious injury
Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor was hit by a car while riding his bike in Ireland on Friday.
The 34-year-old fighter avoided serious injuries after stating on social media that the vehicle’s driver was temporarily blinded by the sun which led to the accident.
“Got a bang of a car just now from behind,” McGregor wrote. “A sun trap, the driver couldn’t see me. Full speed straight through me. Thank you God, it wasn’t my time. Thank you wrestling and judo also. Having an awareness on the landing saved my life.”
The man then placed McGregor’s damaged bike in his vehicle and gave him a ride home.

“All good, don’t worry about it,” McGregor told the man whose name was not revealed. “I could have been dead there.”
