3 Day’s Out: Fury vs. Whyte Final Press Conference

Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte had their final press conference today ahead of their April 23rd heavyweight showdown.

In the press conference, Fury explains how in the past he and Whyte “were good friends together, we went out for a drink, we ate together, we slept together.”

Fury continues, “we’re different men today, it’s a different version, he’s a lot improved and so am I. So, I think everybody is underestimating how good of a fight this is gonna be.”

Whyte states in the press conference, “We worked hard in the gym, you know, and I believe in myself.”

“I’m the kind of fighter where whatever I gotta do, I will do.” Whyte continues, “it’s nothing new.”

Press Conference below:

The fight will mark the ‘said’ retirement of the Ring and WBC heavyweight champion Fury. Throughout his career, Fury has collected an outstanding record of 32-0-1 with 22 KOs. Perhaps most notably, he collected consecutive victories over former WBC champion Deontay Wilder in two of the biggest events in boxing history.

Come Saturday, the “Gypsy King” will face former sparring partner Whyte in front of 94,000 fans at the Wembley Stadium in London, England.

Whyte (28-2-0, 19 KOs) defeated Alexander Povetkin in his last outing to capture the WBC interim heavyweight title. As a +475 underdog, Whyte will be looking to shock the world in London.
