Tyson Fury says a fight with Francis Ngannou is “Very Possible”

Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou???

UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou has made it clear that in the near future, he wants to get into the world of boxing.

As he is currently at odds with the promotion, we could be seeing a crossover sooner rather than later, and Ngannou is eyeing a matchup with the boxing heavyweight king, Tyson Fury.

Fury, who is 31-0-1 with 22 KOs has been in control of the heavyweight division for quite some time. With notable fights with Wladimir Klitschko, Otto Wallin, and Deontay Wilder

Now set to make his ‘final’ walk to the ring, Fury will put his WBC and The Ring titles on the line against Dilian Whyte on April 23rd at the Wembley Stadium in London.

On Ariel Helwani’s MMA Hour Fury stated that “this is my retirement fight…this is it, going out on a high. Retiring on top.” With a win over Whyte in front of a home roaring crowd, he will definitely be going out on a high.

Later in the interview, he mentions that despite retiring from competitive boxing the fight with Ngannou would be a “special fight.” That the fight would be “in a cage, in four-ounce gloves. In Las Vegas at the Raiders stadium.”

He then states that the fight between himself and Ngannou is “very possible.”

Ngannou, who is the current UFC heavyweight champion is coming off of a decision victory over Ciryl Gane at UFC 270 holds a record of 17-3 with 11 KOs, and is on a six-fight win streak. Though it is unclear if he will have another fight with the promotion, he has been asking for a cross-over boxing fight for some time.

Depending on how things play out with Ngannou and the UFC, a super fight between the two heavyweight kings could come to fruition before you know it.
