JW Fight Night 5

JW Fight Night 5 initial card details

Fresquez Productions recently held a press conference, at Triple Sevens (lounge) inside the Route 66 Resort & Casino, to reveal details for JW Fight Night 5.

The May 10 event is the 25th anniversary of Fresquez Productions promoting combat sports in New Mexico. As special to commemorate the anniversary, tickets are on sale for just $25.

Wilfredo “Brown Bomber” Santiago, who has eight of his nine wins by knockout, will be in the co-main event. Invicta FC vet, and fan favorite, Celine Haga will be in action. After an unbeaten 5-0 amateur career, Kayla Yontef will make her pro debut. Kenan Jackson, a member of the U.S. Air Force, will have his second pro bout, as will Edwin Cooper who is set to take on Texas native Chase Johnson. Cooper won his pro debut, back in November, with a TKO of Kellen VanCamp.

Former King of the Cage champion Sherwin “The Genius” Price, from Fit NHB, is set to square off with Andrew Yates from Team Gold Rush in Denver, Colorado. Price has finishes in all five of his victories; four by submission, three rear naked chokes. Yates has won back to back contests submitting Sergio Lopez and stopping Michael Cole by TKO.

The amateur card will consist of eight-matchups. Currently there is still two slots to be filled on the amateur portion of the event.
