Nasrat Haqparast steps in to fight Don Madge on March 13
Nasrat Haqparast will now be apart of of the UFC’s March 13 card as he’ll fill in for for Guram Kutateladze.
Kutateladze was originally booked to fight Don Madge, but he was forced out of the fight due to a torn meniscus. Madge (9-3-1) and Haqparast will square off against one another.
ESPN was first to report the news of Haqparast stepping in to fight Madge.
Madge, of South Africa, hasn’t fought since UFC 242 in September 2019 when he defeated Fares Ziam by unanimous decision. Prior to that fight, the former EFC lightweight champion won his octagon debut in 2018 by knocking out Te Edwards.
Haqparast lost his UFC debut back in 2017, but he rebounded from that loss by winning his next three bouts. That win streak was snapped in January 2020 when Drew Dober finished him in the first round. Haqparast did fight one more time in 2020. He earned a unanimous decision win over Alexander Muñoz in August.
