ONE Championship versus UFC fantasy matchmaking is certainly brought up now and again. More so in the context of the promotion’s top fighters engaging in crossover warfare.

It seems like the intrigue is so strong that the discourse even extends itself to who would win in a fight between the respective figureheads of each organization.

A couple of years ago, I would have dismissed this fight as completely ridiculous. Amid the circus-style combat sports landscape of the pandemic years and the myriad of possibilities now in this medium, it seems hard to surprise anyone at this point.

Chatri and Dana have exchanged some back and forth quips over the years.

Within the last few months specifically, Chatri Sityodtong has questioned whether or not Dana White even knows how to fight. While Dana White offered criticisms on the hybrid rules bout with Demetrious Johnson versus Rodtang inferring that it reflected a sense of desperation in ONE.

The two companies previously interacted when the historic Demetrious Johnson and Ben Askren trade transpired a few years back.

Dana is definitely no stranger to this kind of stuff.

White was purportedly supposed to have a boxing bout with Tito Ortiz. This was many years back as part of a contractual agreement. Something that ultimately never came to fruition.

The callouts still persist in a big way today. Youtuber turned combat sports disruptor Jake Paul is presently antagonizing White and trying to goad him into putting on the big gloves and entering the ring.

Would Chatri versus Dana occur in the ONE Circle under the global ruleset or in the UFC Octagon under unified rules? The questions abound regarding a potential throwdown between Unacceptable against That’s F*king Illegal.
