UFC 187: Official Weigh-In Video and Results
Before two UFC championship bouts are decided tomorrow night in Las Vegas, fighters had to hit the scales today. Weigh-ins streamed live on MyMMANews.com beginning at 7pm EST from Sin City.
In the main event two light heavyweights will compete for a vacant UFC light heavyweight championship. The title was previously held by the man many considered to be the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, Jon Jones, however after several incidents that violated the UFC Code of Conduct policy the champion was stripped and the championship would be vacated. Cormier and Johnson will now decide who is the best 205-pounder in the organization. Cormier dropped a decision loss while challenging for the title against Jones back in January.
A second championship bout will co-headline and is more than a year in the making as middleweight champion Chris Weidman defends his title against the very hungry Vitor Belfort. With a win, Belfort would become the first ever three-division champion as he has already held the UFC’s heavyweight and light heavyweight titles.
