UFC 228 weigh-in results and ceremonial weigh-in video stream

UFC 228 weigh-ins were held Friday, September 7, in advance of Saturday night’s pay-per-view event which features two UFC titles on the line. The early weigh-ins began at 10 a.m. EST from the UFC’s host hotel followed by ceremonial weigh-ins later tonight which can be viewed above.

Tomorrow night’s fight card will be American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas and is headlined by UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley defending against rising star and challenger Darren Till.  Till, who has had trouble making weight in the past, comes in on point at 169 pounds.  The champ, Woodley, comes in at 171 pounds on his first attempt.  He has to make 170 pounds for this title bout so a towel is used and he comes in on the mark at 170 on second try.

The evening’s co-main event was supposed to be between Nicco Montano, who won the inaugural UFC women’s flyweight title last year, and former bantamweight title contender Valentina Shevchenko. This morning Montano was rushed to a nearby hospital and her condition is unknown at this time.  We will keep you updated as information becomes available.  The fight is now officially off the card.

Zabit Magomedsharipov, a rising star under coach Mark Henry, comes in at 147 pounds on his first attempt.  He needs to hit the featherweight limit of 146 pounds.  With the assistance of a towel, Magomedsharipov comes at 146 pounds and is ready to rehydrate.

The 14-fight event kicks off with five bouts streaming live on UFC Fight Pass at 6 p.m. ET. Four additional preliminary-card bouts follow on FX at 8 p.m. ET, with the five-fight main card airing live on pay-per-view at 10 p.m. ET.

Kamaru Usman, the alternate for the evening’s main event weighed in first at 169 pounds.
