Adrian Yanez

Adrian Yanez ready to make it a war against Brady Huang on Dana White’s Contender Series week 2

Interview with Adrian Yanez above

“I love to fight. I love to box.  I’m one of those guys that enjoy standing and exchanging and I’m going to make it a war if we get deep in those trenches.  I have no problem digging deep, but I love knockouts so if I can do it clean and efficiently, that’s what I’m trying for.  After the fight, people are going to say that guy is good, his boxing and hand skills are great.  I’m a scrapper.”

That is what Adrian Yanez (10-3) told MyMMANews when we spoke about his upcoming bantamweight match-up on Dana White’s The Contender Series week 2 on August 11th. Adrian grew up with a love for boxing. You can see our full interview on the link above.  He made me smile when he brought up the Arturo Gatti v Mickey Ward fights as the driving force for his love of competing.  Obviously he would like to take less punishment than those guys did and he will look for a spectacular finish and a UFC contract when he welcomes Brady ” The Kung Fu Warrior” Huang (11-1) to the cage.

Adrian says that he will be very prepared for this fight and has really amped up his camp to try and reach the goal of many mixed martial artists by earning that lucrative UFC contract..  His opponent does have four submission victories with three triangle chokes and a kimura to go with six knockouts.  Yanez has five knockouts and two submissions on his record.  On paper, this looks like a very exciting fight and knowing what’s at stake, I think we will see a war on the feet as Adrian is hoping for.

Do not go anyplace.  We will have live results and recaps for every fight as MyMMANews continues to bring the best combat sports coverage, from the best staff in the business.
