Anthony “Pretty Boy” Taylor (4-5) heard the news about Artem Lobov (13-15) free agency like everyone else. The 29-year-old lightweight has had his eye on Lobov for the last three years so when news broke that Bellator MMA made an offer to get “The Russian Hammer” to fight for them, Taylor feels the fight is in his grasp.

He seems to have built a rivalry with SBG since he fought James Gallagher at Bellator 169 and his since evolved his training to where he is riding a two-fight win streak and thinks being the one to welcome Lobov to Bellator is a win-win scenario for him and Bellator.

Taylor trains with the likes of Aaron Pico and AJ McKee so it is clear he is not the same fighter he was three years ago but given the win-loss ratio of both fighters, Taylor feels he has nothing to lose and everything to gain in a potential fight with Lobov.

Whatever the offer was from Bellator, it seems Lobov wants one that is “worthy” of his prowess in MMA as it seems in his Tweet to 50 Cent.

With Lobov trying to push himself on social media as the fighter he believes himself to be, a fight with Taylor does not seem like a bad idea. The trash talk for a fight with these two could be fun and according to Taylor, his level of trash talk is “World Champion level”.

Given the history Taylor has with Gallagher, it looks like he would like to get that one back too. If the path to Gallagher lies with a Lobov fight, the result of Gallagher’s fight in Ireland on February 23 could open doors for Taylor in the long run.
