Celeb City II: Cassper Nyovest vs Priddy Ugly Preview
Celebrity boxing is back on the African continent as Celeb City makes a return this weekend and, although South African rapper Cassper Nyovest will be in action once more, he has a different foe this time. In his first outing, Nyovest squared off against fellow entertainer, NaakMusiQ and found himself on the wrong end of the judges’ decision. Now, he looks to right his wrong by going up against one of the nation’s most beloved rappers, Priddy Ugly.
For the first instalment in the Celeb City series, the event was broadcast on SuperSport but now, ESPN Africa will play host to the much-anticipated bout. The entirety of the card will feature five bouts with only the last two set to be broadcast.

Opening up the event, Simphiwe Konkco and Garen Diagan will face off an international mini flyweight fight. Following that up, the Gauteng Bantamweight Championship will be on the line as Layten Gloss and Akani Sambo square off. Closing out the undercard will be a junior female lightweight fight between Bukiwe Nonina and Cecilia Pitsani.
The broadcast will open up with Cowin Ray defending his SA Super Middleweight Championship against Asemahle Wellem. That fight will precede the Cassper Nyovest versus Priddy Ugly battle, which is set to go a maximum distance of five rounds.

Although the animosity between the two rappers is not as tense as it was between Cassper Nyovest and NaakMusiQ, both feel they have something to prove and are willing to do so at each other’s expense. This will certainly serve as entertainment for the African community and might even see new boxing fans emerge.
