CES MMA 60 co-main event announced, Greg Rebello defends heavyweight title

The co-main event for the January 24, CES MMA 60 event at the Twin River Casino in Lincoln, Rhode Island has formally been announced.  The main card will be broadcast on UFC Fight Pass and features not one, not two, but three title bouts.

CES heavyweight champion Greg Rebello (25-9) will defend his title against Tebaris Gordon (3-1) prior to the main event which pairs Matt Bessette and Charles Cheeks III up against one another for the vacant featherweight strap.

Both “Ribz” Robello and “Boom” Gordon are veterans of Dana White’s Contender Series.  Robello twice sought out to impress the UFC boss and earn a UFC contract but unfortunately was not able to walk away with a win in either outing.  The champion is coming off a first round win over Kevin Haley at CES 57 in September 2019.  He won the vacant title by defeated seasoned veteran Travis Wiuff just 23 seconds into the CES 48 almost one year ago.

Gordon is returning to action for the first time since August 2018 where he was defeated by Greg Hardy on the Contender Series.  All of his professional wins are finishes from strikes, making him a very dangerous opponent for Robello.

The third title fight of the night is at flyweight. Fighting for the 125-pounds belt will be Johnny Lopez (12-4) and Blaine Shutt (7-4).

Below is the UFC Fight Pass portion of the CES MMA 60 fight card:
