Ivan Baranchyk vs. Jose Zepeda Full Results

In tonight’s featured boxing event, former IBF World Super Lightweight champion, Ivan Baranchyk, takes on Jose Zepeda for the vacant WBC Silver Super Lightweight title. The card comes on ESPN+ and is promoted by Bob Arum and Top Rank Boxing. While the fight has no fans in attendance, it is still taking place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Jose Zepeda comes into the title fight at 32-2 with 25 knockouts. He dropped a title fight against Jose Carlos Ramierez in February 2019. He went on to go 2-0-1 since then and looks to return to the limelight against Baranchyk in Vegas. He’s fought for several International titles and lost to Terry Flanagan for the WBO World Lightweight title in 2015.

Baranchyk is coming off of a win over Gabriel Bracero in 2019 after losing in the World Boxing Super Series in a tight matchup with the eventual-champion, Josh Taylor. Baranchyk lost his IBF World Super Lightweight title and looks to also get the ball rolling again towards a title fight.

Also on the card is former UFC title contender, John Moraga. He takes on the 1-0 Duke Ragan in a short notice bout. The co-main event is Gabriel Flores Jr. and Ryan Kielczweski. While there are a lot of young fighters on this card, Top Rank Boxing has put together a sleeper of a card tonight that will wet the pallets of boxing fans.
