Jimmie Rivera meets Howard Davis at BKFC 26

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship announced Jimmie Rivera’s promotional debut on Instagram yesterday, saying that “undefeated Howard Davis welcomes [Jimmie Rivera] to the show June 24th in Hollywood, Florida!”

The promotion’s announcement came after MMA reporter Coby Weinsier first broke the news.

Before signing with the promotion just a couple of months ago, Rivera had put together a fantastic MMA career since becoming a professional in 2008. During his MMA career, he collected world titles with Ring of Combat and Cage Fury FC before making his way to the UFC, where he has spent the last seven years competing at the top of the bantamweight division.

Under the UFC banner, he collected wins over the likes of Pedro Munhoz, Urijah Faber, and Cody Stamann. His most recent showing came at UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik vs. Gane where he came up short in a rematch with Munhoz.

Set to make his BKFC debut in June, he will take on the number one ranked BKFC featherweight, Davis. With a record of 2-0 with the promotion, Davis defeated Rusty Crowder in 2021 and Josh Wright the following year. For Davis, this will be his chance to cement himself as a real contender in the organization.

BKFC 26 will take place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida on June 24th.

As of now, there are four announced bouts for the event.
