The UFC will host another show tonight in Long Island, New York. A fight night show that has a very big feeling to it as two potential number one contender fights take place on the card.
In the main event former title challenger Brian Ortega takes on Yair Rodriguez in a pivotal clash at featherweight, Rodriguez announced that hes getting the next shot at the title with a win over Ortega. The co-main event will serve a match-up between long time veteran Michelle Waterson-Gomez and surging contender Amanda Lemos. The Brazilian looks to get back on track towards the title with a win over “Karate Hottie”.
Also on the card former champion Miesha Tate seeks to defeat Lauren Murphy in her flyweight debut, if Tate is successful it would seem she would earn a title shot against champ Valentina Shevchenko.

Li Jingliang vs. Muslim Salikhov play-by-play
In this highlighted play-by-play will feature a pair of welterweights as Li Jingliang looks to get back to winning ways against Muslim Salikhov.
Li Jingliang (18-7) returns after his dismantling loss against Khamzat Chimaev back in October last year. That was his second loss in his last three with the first coming in March 2020 losing a unanimous decision to Neil Magny. Muslim Salikhov (18-2) heads back to New York for another bout. Salikhov looks to make it a 6-fight win streak.
Heres how it played out:
ROUND 1:
A spinning wheel kick early from Salikhov. Jingliang lands a inside leg kick. Salikhov catches the kick and takes down Jingliang, a stint on the ground and we are back on the feet. Jingliang coming forward trying to land strikes but without any success, not the most action packed first round.

A big right hand early momentarily floors Jingliang. Salikhov fires another wheel kick and forces a big reaction from the crowd. Jingliang lands a takedown, Salikhov doesn’t settle for the position and we are back striking. A couple nice body shots from Jingliang. A massive right hand from Jingliang and Salikhov is on wobbly legs! Jingliang stalking his prey and lands a massive right against the cage and Salikhov hits the deck. After some follow up strikes it is ALL OVER!
