Official Result: Amanda Lemos def. Michelle Waterson via submission (guillotine choke) at 1:48 of round two

Each woman comes out cautious, with a respect for the one another’s striking.

Lemos opens up with some leg kicks, most of which are returned.

Lemos then starts to throw her heavy punches, but Waterson is able to evade most of them.

Waterson secures a takedown with one minute left in the first, though she’s reversed and ends the round on bottom.

Lemos is throwing heavy shots again to start the second, before Waterson secures another takedown. Lemos is right back up however, and immediately jumps on a guillotine choke.

Waterson is trying to battle her way out of it, but is unable to as she’s forced to tap.

Man, Amanda Lemos is a straight up finisher! She’s now 12-2-1 as a professional with seven knockouts, this being her third submission victory.

I became a fan of combat sports when I was 12 years old. I was scrolling through the channels and landed upon Versus, where WEC was televised. Urijah Faber fought Jens Pulver for the second time that night. That's the first fight I ever saw, and I was immediately hooked. So eventually, I began covering the sport in the fourth quarter of 2018, and have since started writing about animals as well.
