MyMMArijuanaChronicles Episode 8: Ben Coyle talks cannabis in MMA

As times evolve, so do opinions. When opinions change, people tend to delve further into fact finding and educating themselves.

It’s no secret how modern society has adapted and now accepted cannabis both recreationally and more importantly, medicinally. Take a step back to the early 2000’s. Cannabis was labeled as the “gateway drug to harder drugs” by your local police officer in the D.A.R.E program and you’d be arrested and fined without question for having a mere gram in possession.

Flash forward not even two decades later, proper research has been analyzed and sorted out with scientific results now concluded. At present day we have all 50 states with the legalization, regulation of sale and distribution of CBD, (cannabidiol: a non psychoactive cannabinoids in the cannabis plant aiding in anxiety, cognitive ability, pain, and much more) 11 states legalizing the whole herb recreationally, 33 legalizing it medically, with many more soon to follow suit.

Ben Coyle is an MMA fighter who is very conscious of what helps his body perform to the maximum capacity as an elite athlete. Coyle laughs when he credits “good training, good food, and good weed” as some of his favorite things that work best for him in the practice room and in life in general.

MyMMArijuanaChronicles is back with the former bantamweight champion Ben Coyle as we discuss how cannabis helps him in his daily routine and what he sees for the future of further cannabis legalization. Tune in!
