In this edition of MyMMArijuanaChronicles, we speak with former Invicta FC atomweight champion, Alesha “Half Pint” Zappitella who also just vied for the Invicta FC Strawweight strap.

For Zappitella, her journey with cannabis began “through recreational use,” she explains. However, as time progressed, the Invicta FC strawweight found a deeper utilization for it, outside of recreation.

“I use marijuana so much,” Zappitella confesses. “It helps my mind. It helps with anxiety. It helps me really just level out,” she explains. As far as training is concerned, she’s “able to absorb the information and just kind of flow and be creative with it,” she continues. “Honestly, it helps with making my body feel better after training,” she continues.

Seeing the vast beneficial usages of the plant, Zappitella has spoken about her cannabis usage on several occasions, including in her own books, and letting her opinion be known via social media.

“This is something that I really do believe in, and it is something that helps me so much in my day-to-day life,” she says. Emphasizing, “I really wish that I could use it during fight camp because cutting weight really brings so many manic episodes where one day, I’m amazing and the next second, I don’t want to get off the couch,” she explains. “If I was able to smoke weed, that would never be a problem!”
