Nate Diaz calls again for UFC release, teases move to box Jake Paul
Nate Diaz is once again calling to be let go of the UFC.
Over the last several years Nate Diaz has been at the top of the UFC roster in terms of popularity. He is a fan favorite and a money fight for anyone in the organization. However recently Diaz has been asking to be let go of his UFC contract. It appears the Stockton native has one fight left on his current UFC contract and wants to line that fight up as soon as possible. He has made public pleas on Twitter asking for a fight or a release since the winter and now has set a deadline for his last fight.
Ufc release now please or give me fight with anyone in July or august

UFC release now please or give me fight with anyone in July or August,” Diaz wrote. “I have bigger sh-t to do.”
In the post, Diaz is teasing a bout with Jake Paul. This isn’t all that surprising because Paul has made a career out of boxing former UFC fighters. Diaz is a big name and if he leaves the UFC he will be free to do as he pleases, even turn to boxing. He and Paul have been mentioning each other for a long time and a fight between them would be lucrative for both.
The problem with this situation is it appears the UFC does not want Diaz to go. He has asked a couple of times and has even tried to set up a fight with a few fighters as well. Still, no date is on the books for him at this time. Usually, when a fighter is going into their last fight, the UFC will renegotiate with them, it seems that Diaz does not want to go that. Unless the UFC will allow him to box, which seems unlikely, although they did do it for McGregor, the only option for Diaz would be to end the current contract by fighting that last fight.
Diaz’s last fight was back in June of last year. Now one year out of the cage, it seems a date must be set.
