The popular (former) professional wrestler CM Punk was recently released by the WWE. CM Punk (real name Jack Brooks), has always expressed interest in the world of mixed martial arts. Punk also had Dana White mentioning in the media, “I wouldn’t mind talking to Punk”. CM Punk would bring many fans over to the sport, the same kind of effect Brock Lesnar had with the UFC. And with so much media attention in theMMA world, Phil Baroni was the first to welcome Punk with a verbal shot on social media. The following was posted on Phil Baroni’s instagram:
Scott Coker is improving the popularity of Bellator every day with the cards he is putting together, and the interest he is expressing in big named fighters who were released from other major organizations, primarily, the UFC. Coker has gone on record expressing interest to take a look at Lesnar if the opportunity would present itself.
Baroni at age 38, is in the recession of his career, his trash talking however is still as good as back in the day when he knocked out then top fighters Amar Suloev and Dave Menne in the UFC. Baroni (15-18) is currently on a three-fight skid, but his hands are always a danger.
