Tiger Schulman’s host Swing for the Stars II Fight Night Charity event
Daniel “Tiger” Schulman opened his first school in 1984. Forty years later, there are 52 Tiger Schulman Martial Arts academies across 5 different states. This gentleman has been doing something right for a long time. Schulman has built a strong culture and it’s much more than just about fighting. His team, which includes lots of family has put the effort and time into those who may need something a little extra. Coming up on April 20th, TSMA will host Swing for the Stars II: Charity Fight Night.
TSMA students with special needs will get an opportunity to become a “pro fighter” for the night and face-off against their favorite fighter from the TSMA Fight Team. Danielle Schulman (daughter of Tiger) is the event organizer and it’s obvious she was a born leader just like her father. She tells MyMMANews…
“We make this as realistic as possible because these kids really believe they are going in there for a fight. Walkouts to a packed house and their favorite songs, then battling against real fighters who they’ve seen on TV. Last year went really well and we’re all excited for this one. We have so many people who help us and donate their time. The teachers, students and families all come together to see them shine.”
Please check out the video on the link. Danielle does a great job of explaining the entire fundraiser of which that link is right here if you’d like to make a donation. https://www.familyautismnetwork.org/
UFC veteran, Louis “Goodnight” Gaudinot owns two TSMA franchises and is thrilled to be on the card again. Gaudinot says…
It’s very important to give back. I have a child on the spectrum, and I live it every day. Anything we can do to put a smile on their faces and make memories, that’s what it’s all about. Truly it’s one of the best parts of being a teacher.
Louis did give me a little tease as far as fight news, but nothing he could confirm yet. The 39-year-old flyweight seemed positive about a return to the cage in the near future.
During the conference call, I also got to chat with Mike Durso to get the point of view from a parent. His son Dominic will enter the cage with Julio Arce for the second year in a row. Mike told us…
“Dominic is so pumped for this. He wanted to treat this like a real camp, and he’s been working extra hard. I’m so proud of him and all of these kids. I’m just thankful to be around an amazing group of guys who also happen to be great fighters. This is the highlight of our year.”
Appreciation for the Tiger Schulman organization. This is how mixed martial arts transcends into real life as people bond together to look out for others.
