It seems as if Mike Tyson was serious when he told the social media universe that he was back. Iron Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. have agreed to an eight round exhibition fight on September 12th in California. The bout will be sanctioned by the California State Athletic Commission.
After years of shying away from the spotlight, Mike Tyson posted a video to his social media of him blisteringly hitting pads with one exclamation: “I’m back!” Speculation quickly arose of who, when and where Tyson would be fighting. Names from Tyson Fury to a rumored bout in Bare Knuckle FC we’re floating across the internet.
Roy Jones Jr. had angled for the fight on social media as well, posting his own sizzle reel of pad work. The fight was ultimately agreed upon by both parties.
