Muhammad Mokaev is the number one young star in mixed martial arts today. But how did he get to where he is now? The story goes that he tore through IMMAF competition en route to two amateur world titles before landing a contract with BRAVE Combat Federation. As he makes his Flyweight debut with the fastest-growing MMA organization in the world, a mini-documentary detailing his life so far has been released.
BRAVE CF – Road to Greatness features never-before-seen pictures and videos which paint a picture of what makes Muhammad Mokaev so special. From the struggles in his native Dagestan, to having trouble in school in England, and finding in martial arts a path to change his life and that of those around him.
Mokaev might only be 20 years-old but has already achieved glory in his amateur career, with two world titles, as well as the number one pound-for-pound junior fighter spot in the IMMAF rankings. His professional debut, back at BRAVE CF 37, made waves worldwide and became the biggest pro debut in the sport’s history.
And he hasn’t disappointed so far. He has added four dominant pro victories to an already undefeated amateur career of 23-0, and will now take the biggest leap of his career.
At BRAVE CF 49: Super Fights, Mokaev takes on fellow IMMAF world champion Abdul Hussein, who’s 7-1 as a professional, with his only loss coming at Bantamweight. ‘’Abba’’ is eager to derail the Mokaev hype train and is the most difficult opponent of The Punisher’s career. Will Muhammad maintain his undefeated status and take one more step on his Road to Greatness?
