Former Strikeforce MMA star Gina Carano is training with former UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili ahead of her return to mixed martial arts competition. She meets former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey after years of inactivity from both women.
Carano’s caption reads: “I’ve stood across some of the best actors in the world but to stand across a person like @merab.dvalishvili was electric. 😊

Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions announced in February that the two iconic female fighters will compete in an MMA fight on May 16. The event takes place at Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, and streams exclusively on Netflix.
Carano has not competed professionally since 2009 since she lost to Cris Cyborg under the Strikeforce banner. Rousey, a former UFC women’s bantamweight champion and WWE competitor has not fought since 2016 when she was knocked out Amanda Nunes.
