Aaron Jeffery Looking to Make an Impact at Bellator 282

He’s come a long way.

Aaron Jeffery (11-3) has come a long way to get to his debut at Bellator 282. COVID-19 wreaked havoc on a lot of plans and Jeffery somehow found a way to win and defend the CFFC middleweight title, and squeeze in a shot on Dana Whites Contender Series in between. Getting to and from those fights from Canada in 2020 and 2021 was no easy task, if you want to hear about what he went through you can see that here.

But that was then and this is now.

Now, Jeffery has a contract with Bellator MMA and a new middleweight division to climb. His famous hair has already been featured on Bellator’s website but he’s not just bringing a gimmick to Bellator 282, he’s bringing the drive that got him there.

“It’s a long time coming,” Jeffery told the media. “ I’ve been doing this stuff for many many years so, to finally get here, it’s great.”

Jeffery will make his debut against Fabio Aguiar (18-3) and while debuts are tough, Jeffery feels the experiences that lead him to Bellator should be enough to earn a win and introduce Bellator fans to more than just a cool hairstyle.

The thing about mixed martial arts, things don’t get easier when milestones are reached. They get harder and Jeffery knows this. Facing Aguiar on a card headlined by the current middleweight champion, Gegard Mousasi certainly can give a new fighter like Jeffery another milestone to work towards.

“I want to make a huge impact,” Jeffery said of his new home. “ I want to start winning some fights and work my way up to the top.”

Jeffery’s first fight to win will have to be against Aguiar who he feels fights much like he does so on Friday, fans will have to tune in to see who does it better.

Jeffery’s debut will be on the prelims that will air on Bellator and SHOWTIME’s YouTube channel at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT.
