After testing positive, Good dropped out of UFC 249 in Brooklyn, New York on April 18. The promotion postponed the event later on due to the pandemic.

The 34-year-old first said his UFC 249 exit stemmed from an injury. Good took another test in April, which came back negative.

He is coming off a third-round TKO victory against Chance Rencountre at UFC 244 in November 2019. In-and out of the win column in his last five fights, Good is trying to string back-to-back wins together for the first time since July 2015.

The former Bellator welterweight champion is 3-2 under the UFC banner.

Muhammad is coming into the bout on a two-fight win streak, a part of winning six of his last seven bouts. He most recently submitted Takashi Sato at UFC 242 in September 2019.

The 31-year-old also beat Curtis Millender by unanimous decision at UFC 236 in April 2019. Muhammad is 7-3 inside the octagon since making his UFC debut in 2016.

Lyman Good and Belal Muhammad join five other bouts currently booked on the card. Good joins his Tiger Schulmann teammate, Shane Burgos, who meets Josh Emmett in the featherweight matchup.
